Go Girl: Angels!

From my library trip yesterday, I acquired an.... interesting book called Go Girl: Angels! It's about these six girls, I think their names are Bonnie, Lucy, Annabelle, Chloe, Lola and Sophie (the only reason I remeber their names is because I looked in the book :P) Well, there's this school project and they have to do all this stuff as a team. There are five more books in the series, though I'm not too excited about reading them... oh, stuff it. I'll just do the blurb:

"Anything is possible when girls team together! Bonnie is super excited about a new project at school. She wants to win the prize! But who's going to be on her team?"

Wow, dramatic isn't it? I'd reccomend this for readers aged 7-10, or someone who likes girly teamy stuff.

5: AWESOME! 4: Great! 3: It's cool :) 2: Well, OK....
1: I wouldn't read this.

I give Go Girl: Angels!: ☻☺☺☺☺ out of ☻☻☻☻☻
(Well, that's just my opinion. I'm an 11 year old who gets bored easily)

Angel Cake

Well, I've done my first library run (at Toowong) and borrowed a couple of books I wouldn't usually read. (Angel Cake is from YA fiction: Young Adult). It's about this girl named Anya, who moves from Poland to Britian, in Liverpool. She's an outcast at first, but then she makes friends with this nerd called Kurt and an overweight girl named Frances (or, Frankie) but then she's kinda drawn into the world of a guy named Dan, who's really bad at school but is really angelic and good at his mum's cafe, Heaven. I'm not telling you any more or I'll basically give the story away. I reccomend this for anyone, but you need to have patience because it gets quite boring in parts.
5: AWESOME! 4: Great! 3: It's cool :) 2: Well, OK...
1: I wouldn't read this.
I give Angel Cake: ☻☻☻☺☺ out of ☻☻☻☻☻

Smile

A while ago, I borrowed a book from one of my friends,
Sophie, called Smile. It's about a girl called Raina Telgemeir (she wrote the book as well, it's her own experience from school) about when she falls one night after Girl Scouts and one tooth falls out, while the other is wedged up in her gum. It seems like everything will be OK, but then it turns out that her gum was damaged so her front teeth are up higher than her others.
After this, you follow Raina into 7th, then into high school all the while with her having on-off braces, mouth surgery and even headgear. She also has troubles with boys and friends and stuff. At the end of the book, she ditches her old friends, makes some new ones and eventually, she can actually.... Smile :)
5: AWESOME! 4: Great! 3: It's cool :) 2: Well, OK....
1: I wouldn't read this.
I give Smile: ☻☻☻☺☺ out of ☻☻☻☻☻
Smile's pretty good, but after you've read it about twice it doesn't seem so new... kinda like Diary Of A Wimpy Kid. Oh... did I mention? It's a graphic novel (all in pictures)

P.S. I won't bother with the smiley faces anymore. :P

Skulduggery Pleasant

I went to the library the other day and borrowed a book that is called "Skullduggery Pleasant (my best friend is OBSESSED with it) and it's about this girl called Stephanie, and at her (uncle's??) funeral, there's this dude called Skullduggery Pleasant (she knows him as Mr Pleasant at the funeral) who turns out to be this crime fighting, magic guy with only a skull for a head. Yes. He is dead. They have to fight these vampires, and dudes called 'Hollow Men' and stuff... It's a good book, but I'm not too interested in reading the sequels. Though, while on the subject of my friend, I recommend you read her blog. It's pretty cool... she can comment the link if she wants.

OK, here is the rating:

5: AWESOME! 4: Great! 3: It's cool :) 2: It's OK..... 1: I wouldn't read this book.

I give Skulduggery Pleasant:

Cherub

Hi, it's me again, and I'm reviewing this book called Cherub: The Recruit. The Recruit is the start of a series of books called Cherub (as seen above) and the Recruit is really cool. Basically, it's about this spy organization set somewhere in the British countryside, and if a child is smart enough (and their parents die.. that's a downside) they are sent to Cherub. Once you get there you're basically tested, and educated and stuff until basic training begins. Basic training is 100 days of hell, so whatever happens on missions you won't be afraid of.
After you pass basic training, you can be sent off on missions anytime. The hero is a 13 year-old kid named James Choke. His mum dies, and he and his sister Lauren are sent to Cherub. They must change their identity, so he changed his name to James Adams. He passes basic training, and then is
sent off to a place called Fort Harmony, where he has to destroy a terrorist group. I'd really recommend this for readers aged 11-15, because some gory stuff happens and some stuff isn't appropriate. After this book, there is a whole lotta others, so you'll never be bored. I recommend this for
people interested in adventure, but it's good for anyone.
Read it. Or else.

Oh, and also for my blog I'll be rating it out of smiley faces.
